Review:The 2005 Grenache, which I tasted just prior to bottling, comes from a 70-year-old Blewitt Springs vineyard planted with old bush vines. Aged 18 months in French oak (30% new), it exhibits a dense ruby/purple color in addition to a sweet bouquet of black raspberries, cherries, currants, and incense. Spicy and rich with supple tannin, this impressively endowed Grenache should drink well for 4-6 years.
