This wine displays both red and black fruit aromas (cherries and raspberries), on the nose and the palate. In addition, one finds a light touch of brown spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice) and even a little black pepper. True to our house style, it is elegantly textured with satiny, polished tannins showing in the finish.

In contrast to the more delicate 2004, the 2005 is built on larger shoulders, with a strong backbone that will certainly reward with extended aging. Pinot Noir's more delicate heart beats beneath, but for now the 2005 is true to the vintage. Of course, one can happily enjoy the wine now with its expressive nose of lilac and violet blossoms, and a wild array of red and black fruits, white pepper, clove and orange peel. The body is rich and the finish long and silky, suggesting a minimum aging of 7 to 10 years.

This garnet colored wine reveals aromas of crushed violets, vanilla and baking spices. Flavors include rich black cherry, ripe blackberry and hints of black pepper. The finish is long, velvety and voluptuous.

The 2006 Elk Cove Vineyards Pinot Gris starts out with sweet aromatic fruits of the tropics; pineapple, guava and a touch of honeysuckle, hinting of springtime freshness, while also giving crispness on the palate with citrus and grapefruit. Yet true to the Elk Cove Vineyards’ style, there is a rich mouthfeel to give a full and satisfying balanced finish. Drink this lovely white wine as an aperitif or with a variety of food pairings from salmon and main-course salads to Asian and Thai influenced dishes.

Aromas of dried rose petal, baked cherry pie and spice. Lush, textured palate with hints of sweet vanilla, blackberry and chocolate. Fine tannins move into a seamless, extended finish.

A blockbuster wine from the Willamette Valley! Black cherry, cassis and black pepper aromas lead into a creamy, broad palate of fresh blackberry, red cherry and violets. A purity of both red and black fruits combined with round tannins provide a lingering finish of baking spice and vanilla.

The wines from 2005 display a wonderful array of red, blue and black fruits and display impeccable balance and incredible length. One of the best vintages to date. This Pinot Noir shows beautiful aromas of dark cherry, red raspberry, pipe tobacco, milk chocolate, pomegranate and earth. The palate is rich and supple, showing black raspberry, cherry pie, black currant, rose, violet and oak spice with a persistent and seamless finish.
