Here is the first release of Boarding Pass Shiraz from Grateful Palate Airways, made from 100% Shiraz grapes grown on 10 to 15 year old vines from some of the best regions of South Australia including Kangarilla, Blewitt Springs and Kalimna. The wine is a lively, dense, ruby red in color. It has intensely perfumed fruit characters and is brambly with ripe black cherry. There are slight hints of cinnamon spiciness & light mocha. The juicy, fleshy palate finishes with ripe tannins.
The wine is rich ruby red in color. Sweet blueberry fruit abounds in
the nose, complexed by tobacco, coffee & chocolate. In the mouth,
there are plums & fruitcake with lavish toasty oak and a voluptuous
creamy structure.
Vibrant dark cherry, raspberry and rich chocolate flavors are balanced with an even, textural palate with smooth and supple tannins, with a hint of vanillin oak. The overall palate effect is of rich ripe fruit and a generosity that is the hallmark of Barossa Shiraz.
