“The intense fruit in this Cabernet Sauvignon does not deter from the aromatics of chocolate cherry and slight mint, which precede a palate of cocoa and black cherry flavors. This is an elegant, complex wine that culminates in the perfect balance of wood and fruit on the lingering finish.” -Ray Einberger, Winemaker
This Merlot exhibits bright red cherry and currant fruit aromas and flavors. Canoe Ridge Estate expresses itself in this way in most of the reds. We allow this Merlot to stay a little more refined and elegant, accenting it with spicy, restrained French oak, while retaining plenty of that trademark Washington concentration.
Cabernet from this 30-year-old vineyard always delivers power, structure and rich concentrated black fruit characters. I have tried to harness this power into something a little friendlier in the first few years of release, while not taking away from its inherent ability to age. The 100% Cabernet stands up to the 69% new oak with all its weight and structure.
“This classic Washington state Merlot offers aromatics of spice, blackberry, and chocolate which lead into a balanced palate of velvety-textured fruit and tannins. The long, seductive finish lingers.” -Ray Einberger, Winemaker
“A classic Bordeaux-style winemaking protocol enhances the aromatics of earth, coconut, blackberry, and slight mint in this red blend. Fruit and oak are perfectly balanced to yield a very complex chocolate-cherry-blackberry lingering finish. This is a soft yet powerful, complex wine.” -Ray Einberger, Winemaker
The 30-year-old Cold Creek Vineyard turns out big, round, lush Cold Creek Chardonnays, characterized by crisp apple and citrus aromas and flavors. The warm site and low-yielding old vines produce concentrated, powerful fruit and wines with a rich mouthfeel and great aging potential.
Located in Washington state's newest AVA, Horse Heaven Hills, our vineyard at Canoe Ridge Estate consistently produces an elegant, refined Chardonnay due to the moderating influence of the Columbia River. This 2004 bottling exhibits ripe apple and cinnamon spice aromas with an elegant, lingering, sweet citrus finish.
The 2003 Canoe Ridge Estate Cab delivers a great combination of texture, cherry fruit and a spicy, cinnamon element. Its long, elegant, slightly dusty finish, shows typical Canoe Ridge Estate terroir.

Aromas of sweet citrus with vanilla and floral notes lead to refreshing white grapefruit flavors. Slightly less barrel fermentation than with previous vintages has given the Horse Heaven Sauvignon Blanc more pronounced fresh, vibrant fruit appeal.
