Review:This is a partnership that has gotten people excited. Jean-Michel Cazes (of Chateau Lynch Bages) has joined with the Roquette family of Quinta do Crasto, one of the best (if not the best) Douro producers, to produce Xisto under the label “Roquette e Cazes.”...The wine has a smooth, modern air to it, along with an extra-sweet, exuberant fruity note that pops up as the oak peels away and the fruit asserts itself. It dominates the finish, and then develops some needed character with more aeration....As a very early effort, the wine shows that this joint venture holds unlimited potential. It is pretty sexy and rather appealing. There were 2,500 cases produced. Drink 2009-2018.
