Review:The full-bodied, concentrated, well-structured 1999 Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon (86% of the former and 14% of the latter) exhibits wonderfully ripe, sweet black cherry and black currant fruit characteristics interwoven with earth and vanilla. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from 120-year-old vines and the Shiraz from a 30-year-old vineyard. It was aged in both new and used French hogsheads for 20-22 months prior to being bottled unfiltered. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2018.
