Woop Woop is a collaboration between Ben Riggs, the winemaker of Penny's Hill, and Tony Parkinson, owner of Penny's Hill. The winery strives to provide rich, ripe wines chock full of Aussie character at an affordable price. Woop Woop is Australian slang for the middle of nowhere in the Outback....what we would call the boonies, as in, "just been to Woop Woop and back." Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from key growing regions in S. Australia. 40% comes from McLaren Vale, 54% comes from Langhorne Creek with the balance coming from other areas of the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Lifted aromas of raspberries, spice,fennel, espresso and milk chocolate. The palate is very clean and fruit friendly, medium body with firm but textured tannins. The acid and tannins balance the wine's red and dark cherry flavors.

Stickleback wines are a great introduction to what Heartland can offer - pure, animated and complex fruit flavors. The label design reflects the bright, fun characteristics of these wines. The three spines of the Stickleback fish on the label represent the three varietals used in the blend.
